Drinking Games for Small Groups That Don't Require Playing Cards

Someone forgot the cards. Again. Don't worry. Some of the best drinking games need nothing but a few friends and a drink in hand. Here are our favorites for small groups (3 to 8 people). Please drink responsibly and never drink and drive.

1. Never Have I Ever

Take turns saying something you've never done. Anyone who has done it drinks. Perfect for finding out way too much about your friends.

2. Most Likely To

Someone asks "Who's most likely to...?" On three, everyone points at someone. You drink once for every finger pointed at you.

3. Two Truths and a Lie

Say three things about yourself, one of them false. Everyone who guesses wrong drinks. If everyone guesses right, you drink.

4. Thumb Master

One person is the Thumb Master. Whenever they quietly put their thumb on the table, everyone else has to follow. Last person to notice drinks.

5. Categories

Pick a category (beer brands, '90s movies, things in a kitchen). Go around the circle naming one. Anyone who repeats or blanks drinks.

6. Buzz

Count upward around the circle, but say "buzz" instead of any number with a 7 or divisible by 7. Mess up and you drink. It gets hard fast.

7. Would You Rather

Ask a would-you-rather question. Everyone picks an answer. The minority drinks.

8. Movie or Show Drinking Game

Pick a movie and a few rules (drink every time someone says the title, every time someone cries). Great for low-energy nights.
